In a strategic planning meeting, school board members, parents, teachers,
administration, and classified personnel spent two days developing the following plan:

Beliefs

We believe:

• Learning is lifelong and will improve the quality of life.
• People in Rich County are the key component of our successful schools.
• Best decisions are made with the interest of students as the focus.
• Each person, strengthened by support from family school, and community is responsible for his/her own learning.
• Effective communication and mutual trust are essential for successful group performance.
• A positive school climate of respect, trust, dignity and individual worth fosters learning.
• Values guide individuals lives.
• The effective use of time enhances productivity.
• Education is not only a right, but a privilege.

• We will actively develop, align, and implement a comprehensive curriculum to meet the emerging educational needs of our students.
• We will promote ongoing professional development for all staff by allocating necessary time and resources to achieve desired results.
• We will foster a positive school climate by encouraging social awareness, self-discipline, effective communication, and active learning.
• We well solicit active community support in the education of our children.
